The reporter learned from the press conference that the proportion of excellent water quality area in Shandong coastal waters has reached more than 89%.

According to reports, Shandong has implemented the "Shandong Province's battle plan for the comprehensive environmental management of the Bohai Sea area", fully implemented the Bay leader system, and initially established a provincial, municipal and county level Bay leader organization system; took the lead in the creation of marine ecological civilization demonstration areas, delimited 233 marine ecological red line areas, and constructed 40 marine protection areas of various types; actively carried out marine ecological restoration and renovation, and accumulated the total number of marine ecological civilization demonstration areas The coastline is 247 kilometers long and the sea area is more than 2300 hectares. The proportion of excellent water quality area in coastal waters is more than 89%. Changdao marine ecological civilization comprehensive experimental zone was awarded the national practice and innovation base of "green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains". Qingdao, Weihai and Rizhao were selected as the national "Blue Bay regulation action" cities, accounting for 30% of the national number. Rizhao's experience of "returning coal to beach" was promoted by the Ministry of natural resources, and Dongying was awarded the first batch of "International Wetland city" in the world.
